Muktinath sits in Mustang at roughly 3,800 metres and is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. The practical challenge is not deciding whether it is worth visiting; it is allowing enough time for the mountain journey and keeping weather, altitude and access conditions in mind. Nepal Tourism Board notes that Jomsom is connected with Pokhara by regular flights and that road access through the Kali Gandaki valley has expanded. For Indian pilgrims, we recommend planning Muktinath as a dedicated mountain sector rather than squeezing it into an already packed Kathmandu–Pokhara circuit.
